Phonics

My brother got a cap for his birthday. He wore his cap when he was fishing. He caught a snapper It was a very light colour and a bit small so he wasn't very happy. When he was 16 years old he wanted to go diving but he got trapped in a cage underwater and couldn't get out. Dad did not know where he was. Then a fish came out of the water, I said to dad "look over there, it's  a snapper". We were so scared to see that a real fish was alive on land, but it came to me  and said, "I am here to help you get your brother back, put this on to help you breathe underwater". When I woke up from my nap I realized it was just a dream .

 Today for phonics we were learning about the 'ap' sound. We listed all the 'ap' words we already knew and then found more in the dictionary. We then had some riddles to solve with 'ap' in them. We wrote our paragraph using five of the 'ap' words from our list. Finally we did our inference task.

I enjoy shopping at the mall.I saw an ambulance at the shops.Jack and Mickey choked on their popcorn when they were at the movies .

Today for phonics we each picked a vower to make our sound chuck. My chunk was en.Then I made a list of all the en words I could think of then put the first to words into alphabetical order. To make our paragraph we used one of the words from each persons list .

We went to the beach to go swimming  and feel the sand but there was no sand it was all rocks . I  put on sunblock and went on swim that water cluer .I saw someone took my things but luckily I have locked my  bag so no one can get in it . I need to  get my bag before 3 clock .So  I caught up with him and got my bag back.  He started to mock me, I went away and said nothing. I looked at the time it was 3 o'clock  I gotta go home before my mum comes home. I went inside someone knocked on the door, I opened the door and I got scared  when someone had pranked me so the next day I pranked him . 

Today we were doing Phonics and we were learning about the 'ock' sound. We made a list of the words with the 'ock' words on them. We then use a dictionary to write down the meaning of three 'ock' words. We filled in the missing ock words from sentences, then we wrote our paragraph using 5 words from our list. We ended with or inference and answering the question .

Phonics 'ank'

My brother  had broken his ankle but before he hurt his ankle  he went to town . A tank picked up his best friend Frank to prank me. It was late and he got out of the tank and someone went to the bank and stole money. My brother thought to himself, maybe I can use my superpower to catch  him . My brother will not get hurt stopping this tank and then I hurt my ankle. He and his friends drank all night long as my mum was awake and got so mad.

This week for phonics we were learning about the 'ank' sound. We started by making our list and finding words with 'ank' in them. Then we solved some 'ank' riddles and made a word list. We also wrote our paragraph using some of the words from the list we made. To finish we listened tosome short stories and answered questions about the text.

Ake 

My mum made a cake for my birthday it was full of flakes when we cut it open. She took a piece of cake and it tasted bad so she decided to make this cake taste good. She couldn't, so she got a cake from a shop. Then an earthquake started. Pancakes fell from the sky. I yelled "THIS IS THE BEST BIRTHDAY EVER".

Today for phonics, we were learning about the 'ake' sound and were making our list that has the 'ake sound' that we can think about and we need to find the 'ake' words in the story that we read and after that we were making our own paragraphs using the words on our list.

'ip'

The girl had lipstick on her lips  and ate chips. When she was finished eating her chips  she started to cry ,her tears dripped down and someone slipped  and she found it funny and posted it on youtube .

This morning for Phonics our sound was the 'ip' sound. To begin we made a list of all the 'ip' words we could think of, then used our dictionary to find some more. We then wrote a paragraph using some of the words from our list.
