Romeo and Juliet

Yesterday we were presenting a google slide that explaining about Romeo and Juliet. The sin that we did was romeo fight  with pairs.  Me and my group had appeared a animation  to tell about romeo fighting Paris in this sin. We spoke in Shakespeare  language and English  that we spokening in. We first plan this out  before  we did the play. In my group was Eyaka , Anglene , Joel .

Personification...

Why did they leave me out here all alone again? I am so dirty and broken. I feel so battered and unwanted. I want to be shiny and new like when they first brought me home from the shop. I wish my owner would wear me again. Yay finally, she chose me. When she tried me on for the first time I could feel her pulling my tongue as she slides her foot in me. The pain felt like a pair of scissors cutting my skin. But the pain is better than being alone. 


Today for writing we wrote about an old shoe and used the 5 senses to show what it sees, how it feels, tastes, smells and hears. It was hard because my partner and I were writing the same story but I wasn't allowed to speak to my partner. It was fun because we had our backs to each other.

Transformation

Today we were learning about the vocabulary of transformation. Transformation in geometry describes the changes made to shapes when you rotate, translate, enlarge and reflect them. We made DLOs to help us understand what each transformation looks like.

phonics

I enjoy shopping at the mall.I saw an ambulance at the shops.Jack and Mickey choked on their popcorn when they were at the movies .

Today for phonics we each picked a vower to make our sound chuck. My chunk was en.Then I made a list of all the en words I could think of then put the first to words into alphabetical order. To make our paragraph we used one of the words from each persons list .

Spring into maths

Today we did spring into maths with Mrs Linda. We worked together on the Maths Challenge Wall. We rolled the dice to find our number of the day. It was 653. Then we answered some questions from the challenge wall. After that we completed our own worksheets. We finished with some making money and found different ways to make $15, $5 and $1. I enjoyed doing the worksheet because I am getting faster at it .

Food Print

Yesterday LS2 and LS1 got a visit from Michael she is a business owner that started two years ago. Michael came to PBS  to us  to share her story on how she started her business and as a result she has visited the world and has shared her inspiration with many people. She has developed a app called food print it is an app that is used all over new zealand you can alder food supplies or dishes .She talked about her logo and who to go to  make the logo . When  she was talking  all I could think of was how many food are getting waste .This was funny to learn about thank you Michael for cameing  to help us for are inquiry .

Tech/Coding

Today for  tech we were coding the mbot to go on  to the eight that we follower  to make it    to going in that eight sharp after we are done we did  the had that makes that mbot goes back a when you  but your hand in front of it we had lots of funny play with this .i did not do  a video but my coding did work and I try it .We were going to put that on are google slideshow .we did lot of this  through the saires  and to see if we could change something .

Film festival

 
Yesterday was the 12th   Manaiakalani film festival . Yesterday we went with  a small kids from room 6 and 7  we were look after them  all afternoon . My little kid I look after was ziv from room 7.We went to the film festival we had but them in there chairs and went to the back and sat there we had the chairs that were comeforly and they had it like a bed to lay on . My favorites movie to watch was  form Tamaki college  kolo's song  and panmure bridge school mitre 10 and uber eat then we went back to school and comment on them and to was home time .

Tennis / Kiwi sport

This week for kiwi sport we did Tennis i was in a partner  with miiana we did was  see if we cod get the ball .We had  the partner with passed the ball at the other side I see if we code make it . We had  shot at the other player  we first listen to mr peter .He toot us to used are  under arm   so we can get it over and back  for long  if you can't get it over you lose and then we stand again lintel the anther anther people play we also I had to came the tart ate where you wan't it to go . I coned it to  a real player  and how can I infortfy  on.

Maori

This week for Maori we learnt about the history of the Poi. The Poi has been used for thousands of years during celebrations and is still used today. We learnt a Maori song and and the actions using poi and watch school performer  poi dancing  . We learned how to swag the poi and catch i it in your hands .We also  learn some hard things like catch with the other hand .

Maths Challenge

This morning for maths we did the Maths Challenge Wall. To begin we had a 3 digit number which was our number of the day. Our number was 652. Then we had to complete challenges with the number. We had challenges like Writing the number in words, making number sentence, expanding the number. We also showed 10 more, 10 less, 1 more and 1 less. Then find out how many more make 100, so 63 + 37 =100 . My favourite part of the challenge was making .

Phoinc

Un sounds 

I was so unhappy because  I was sleeping and  then the thunder woke me up.
Everyone was scared and my ears started to hurt. I thought I was dreaming when
I first heard  the thunder strike.The next day  it was sunny
and everyone was happy. Then we decided to  go out to eat food .
I got a delicious ham and  cheese bun and we ate at the park, it was lots of fun.

Today for Phonics we made a list of all the 'un' words we already knew, then used our dictionary to find more words. We then solved some riddles with the 'un' sound in them. We added 'un' to the beginning of 5 words to make the 'un' words. We chose 5 words to use in our paragraph. We finished off with a short story and Mrs Linda asked us questions about the story.

Tech

This week for tech we did are coding for are mbot. We did a figure of eight. I did the coding for the circle  that  goes round the square we the other  we did was initials  of are name.We did the coding to see if we need to fix some things  so are mbot goes where you want it to go and then you get to  take the video of what you do on the mbot. We put it on on the google side we but a photo or a video that show that we did that.
