SLJ | Activity 1 | Day 4

For this activity I had to write down 5 questions that I would ask Sir Edmund Hillary. Down below is my 5 questions. I used the 5 W's to start off the questions.


  1. Who supported you to climb Mount Everest?
  2. What was the most shocking thing that happened whilst climbing Mount Everest.
  3. When did you decide to climb Mount Everest.
  4. Where did you go to get your gear to help you survive on the Mountain?
  5. Why did you not run out of oxygen whilst climbing the Mountain?

    I can't believe you are going through these SLJ activities so quickly. You are doing an amazing job. I love the 5 questions that you wrote to ask Sir Edmund Hillary. I like how you used the 5 W's to start the questions off.

    Hello Ellenora! Well done on getting more posts done whilst the programme is still running. I really liked that you have decide to use the 5 W's to help write your questions. It fascinating what Sir Ed was able to accomplish as it was extremely risky and dangerous. What do you think could of have that would turn the whole event upside down? Maybe an oxygen tank leakage or a difficult crack to get over. Keep it up!

    These questions are great, I think they are really well thought out and more interesting than the average set of questions. I especially like the one about where he got his gear from, and the most shocking thing that happened while he was there. It would make for some really interesting answers!

    Well done for completing this task. I am glad to see you getting out there and posting more and more summer learning journey activities. I did this activity too. It was sure interesting to do. Did you enjoy completing this task? Why? Your questions to Sir Edmund Hillary is great. I enjoyed reading them. My favourite one would be what was the shocking thing that happened during climbing Mt Everest.

    I really like the five questions you would like to ask Sir Edmund Hillary. Hopefully, Sir Edmund Hillarys going to answer your questions. My favorite question is question number one. I also like how you wrote in your blurb what you have learned.
