Motat

This term for Inquiry we are learning about STEAM. This is Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths. As part of our learning we were lucky to get to spend the day at MOTAT. We began our day in the MIND LAB where we had fun  making a battery powered car. We used Cardboard, Sticks , Tape, Straw, a Fan and the Battery. It was amazing when our car moved . In the Mind Lab we also tried to make a flash light using a LED bulb. We had to try and make it stay on without the use of a battery. This was quite tricky. After some lunch we had fun exploring MOTAT with our class.

Samoan Programme

This week I have gotten the help of my cousin Florence. She has helped me read a book that is written in Samoan and English. Florence read the Samoan version of the book and I read the English version of the book. The book we read was called Swimming by Vaitoa Baker. We also had a book that we did activities in. The activities that were in the book were where we write a summary of the book and the draw a picture of my favourite part in the book. Florence would ask me questions on the book and ask me about my favourite part in the book. I really enjoyed reading with Florence.

Phonics

'ip'

The girl had lipstick on her lips  and ate chips. When she was finished eating her chips  she started to cry ,her tears dripped down and someone slipped  and she found it funny and posted it on youtube .

This morning for Phonics our sound was the 'ip' sound. To begin we made a list of all the 'ip' words we could think of, then used our dictionary to find some more. We then wrote a paragraph using some of the words from our list.

Graphics

This week for Graphics we did was  but are design    on the a paper and  if you want to cut you design and then we did something on  are computer  like a  new space  form the anther shape  we made this on tinkercad  we get to new things to was fun . We got to make are teacher  on tinkercad  using shaps we started doing this week .This was fun for the last week of team 2 and we got to design are game using a 3d partert .It was hard using this tinkercad site .

Double to 40

In maths LS2  we created a maths games to help you to practice your Doubles up to 40 .There are  gif for corret answer and wrong answer   when you play my game .For my game I  writing  5 Question  you can answer.We did a presenation on are maths game what the mean behind it The name of my game is double to 40 I like my game so much .
