Gymastics

This week for Cymastics we did a game and a chancher    and are infioin  is stave  and we started  to  staued we did the thing that we did  .We did are  4 season  the bean  we had to steep on it  and jump on it .We did a roal action around the hall .The first this we did was did the catweel on the stage or on the  blue  line  and then there where diving roal and this how we tod us had to do a backflap  and the roal on the smaller  bean.The ather jump on the upden and  to the blue mat that on the are stags to us to doing the back flap this on is much had because it on the stage .And the mat that show us to do the backflap again but it taechs us to do the small so we can get use to it and that what the one is for .The arther one is much had because we had to hold your hand up  and saling  when you get of that your campls  will hurt  but that all ok .The ather we had to the had  stand  on the wall  but with the thing to hold your hands  on thing and  your do it. and we did the ather thing but i don't no what they are call.This was fun to do this week.

Who am I?

This morning for Graphics I created this DLO all about me. I searched for images of all the things I like. I had to make sure the image had a transparent background before I copied it onto my drawing. To search for the images I used png and also used avatar to create the picture of me.

Star dome

This week we went on a night trip to the star dome .Are instructor  was Tobias  he talk about the star constellations we saw the  scorpion ,sagitarius  and the hook and then we saw the planet  Jupiter and saturn if you can find it you look for the scorpion it find this family .In Jupiter you can see the storms that jupiter have and you can't live on it .Saturn is the own one that has ring but it is made up of ice and dust .Jupiter the biggert planet in are solar system has 98 moon but there and 4 main  own  they are call LO  ,Europa ,Ganymede ,Callisto this are the main moon of  jupiter .This are things that we learning for the stardome trip .

Day and Night

This week for inquiry I am learning about space. For inquiry we were talking about day and night. I learnt how far the planets are from the sun. I have created a DLO that shows how we have day and night. I learnt that the Earth orbits around the Sun.

The Emperor Penguin

Emperor Penguins are black and white. These penguins are found in Antarctica, the South pole, and cold icy climates. They waddle on their webbed feet.

The emperor penguin don't have wings because they don't need them. They use their flippers instead.They emperor penguins where oil over there body so they are waterproof .

The emperor penguin is tall then the little penguin  because the little penguin is the height of 33 cml the emperor penguin  is 1.1 height .The emperor penguin don't eat the fish they swallow the food .

The emperor penguin eat krill ,fish squid ,small ocean animals.The emperor penguin is in danger of bad weather ,humans over fish ,seals , killer whales ,sea lion and shark.

The emperor penguin are like rook  because can own see the back of the emperor penguin . There are compact in the water because they have oil that they put on there self .

Math Problem Solving

 This week for Maths We did -. This week we did are  Problem Solving  I stared with 236 - 9 =? First thing I did  was read the Question  .Then I use my staird  it solving this problem .This is how I solving my porblem .

Tech wood work

This week for wood work we finished  are daisy  and did you writing thing .I finished my daisy last week I very like it  it beautiful it is my box .This week I  choosing finished my wiring work and the steep to making a woodwork and we get to sit down on the steal  and writing thing on an paper and finished this week .Then I stared to do my daisy  on my box i choosing  a haret an i chis have to put in .

Gymnastics

This week for kiwi sport we did Gymnastics  and are coach  was steve that come from Estern suburbs Gymnastics  germ .First we  did was game that in ovenge  jump into two feet and the arther and game with play the game of the talloy  game when you had to stand like taolly  but  your don't get  pushing it .First we did forward and backward roll .Then we did cartwheels  some of use learn how to do cartwheel all raed .Afther we did handstands it is where you stand on your hand and like you are stand this is an handstand .Then beam is when you can balance  on the beam with your hand out and going on it with gast your feet this the beam of balance .Building strength  is left your self up and hold on to it .For the jump we had to go on and see if you can jump on it can and see haer you can jump high in the star and I had fun doing Gymnastics this week .

Samoan white Sunday

Florence and I made this presentation about Samoan White Sunday for our  Confidence Care Award. We chose Samoan White Sunday to share part of our Samoan Culture with the class. It is a special day for us and an important part of our culture. My favourite part of White Sunday is the feast and gathering together with all the family.

Tech wood work

Today at tech I finished my jewellery box and am very happy about how it turned out.

I now need to record the process I used to make the box and  explain each step and the tools used for each stage. When I have recorded my process I will decorate the  box to make it look more interesting.  

Problem Solving Making 10

 

This DLO shows how I used the strategy of making ten then adding to solve number problems. Before I made my DLO we practised using strategy to solve number problems and word problems. My screencastify explains how I used this strategy. I liked splitting the numbers because I could do this quickly.

This week we did for writing making of a paper plane then make it steep by steep so you know how to make a paper plane .Why do you did a steep by steep and this how you can learn how to do it.

Kiwi can

Our topic for Kiwi Can this term is Integrity.Integrity is when you  own up if you do something wrong , and doing the right thing even when no one is looking. We did a role play of  when someone is cheating and we acted out someone copying during a test. The person cheating owned up to it and this was an example of her showing integrity. I found it interesting to learn the meaning of Integrity and how we can show integrity.

Reading: The Kindest Family

Today in Reading I read a book called 'The Kindest Family'. Mrs Anderson read it with me and we took turns reading the pages then I answered some questions about the story. My favourite part was when the rich lady became nice because she knew she should have been kinder to the ragged woman. I learnt to go back and look at the story if I cant remember what the answer is.

2. Which house would you have gone to? Why?

The poor house because they were kind people.

3. How did the old woman help the family ?

By giving them a golden sack that refilled with rice all the time.

4. Where did the golden sack come from?

From the old ragged woman.

5. What did the kind family do to help the old woman? Your answers need to be in time order.

The kind family said she could come in to their house, they gave her rice, then they let her sleep in one of their beds.

6. Why do you think that only some people paid for the rice?

Because they had money. The poor people didn’t have money so they couldn’t pay.

7. What lesson did the rich woman learn?

She learnt to be kind to others.

Tech Wood Work

This week we had another day of Tech. For tech we did wood work, for wood work I carried on with making my box.  I was working on making the top of my box, (The lid). I sawed the pieces of wood to make the size of my box lid part. Today we also did some paper work, this is where we got a piece of paper to write about our designs. When we finished writing about our design, Mr. Grundy would look at it and give us marks. The marks are for our report card for tech. Next week I will be gluing on my lid knob to the plat lid part, I will also be finishing up the paper work.

Times Table Challenge

For maths we had 10 minutes to practice our times table by using the times table challenge. I was working on my 3 x tables and I got 12 out of 12 questions correct. This was a fun way to practice my times tables.

Phonics

For Phonics we worked on short vowel sounds. We had fun making a list of words for each sound. Then we had dictation which was listening to a sentence, repeating the sentence, then writing the sentence on our whiteboard. I really enjoyed this lesson and did well writing the sentences.

Maths Problem Solving

Today we were learning to solve maths problems by making numbers to 10.
We had to read the question carefully and look for the maths so we could choose our strategy to get the answer. I had fun learning this and I am proud of my progress.
